About Cobham Players

Cobham Players has been established for over 60 years (formerly as St Andrew’s Players). We are the only group regularly presenting plays, musicals, pantomimes and other entertainments in Cobham. We produce two major plays each year, in the Spring and the Autumn, an annual pantomime, and occasional play-readings and social events.

We have been active and successful participants in the annual Leatherhead Drama Festival. In 2015 our entry was Lilies on the Land by the Lions part which won the adult competition and garnered the ‘Best Director’ award for Rodney Pearson. We had won the adult competition in the 2013 Leatherhead Drama Festival with September in the Rain by John Godber, again with Rodney Pearson directing.

Other recent productions have included Cash on Delivery and Calendar Girls in 2012 followed in 2013 by Swallows and Amazons, Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime and The Female Odd Couple. In 2014, we presented the pantomime Treasure Island and followed this with Ladies Day and The Government Inspector. Our 2015 productions started with Puss in Boots in January, followed by two one act productions in the Spring – Last Panto in Little Grimley and Lilies on the Land – with the latter going on to the 2015 Leatherhead Drama Festival.

New members are always welcome. The most important qualification is enthusiasm to join in and make new friends. The opportunities to have fun are many; whether it is performing, participating front of house or backstage, or just being in the audience. Why not give us a try?
