Cash on Delivery – The Cast

Roger Jones  directs a cast of some of Cobham Players’ finest and most experienced actors.  There is also a couple of people who do not tread the Cobham boards very often but who are joining in enthusiastically to make what promises to be a hilarious show

Jason Lambert as ERIC SWAN

Made redundant from the Electricity Board, Eric has not told his wife and keeps up the pretence of going to work each day. With things tight financially, he starts defrauding the benefit system. The play revolves around what happens when he tries to unravel the web of payments he is receiving!

Nicky Barnes as LINDA SWAN

Eric’s wife is unaware of his redundancy and fraud. Having found a secret cache of female clothing, she seeks the advice of a counsellor.

Graham Callis as NORMAN BASSETT

Eric’s innocent lodger is due to get married in three days. He is quickly drawn into the cover up.

Brian Hulme as MR JENKINS

A DSS inspector whose visit precipitates the whole problem – will Eric be found out? An officious sort of chap with no obvious sense of humour.

Graham Budd as UNCLE GEORGE

Eric’s uncle is a hospital porter who is in on the fraud and supplying him with various items from the hospital.  He gets knocked about a bit………!

Pam Campbell as SALLY CHESSINGTON

A rather over-caring welfare officer from the local council.

Hilary Jones as DR CHAPMAN

A psychiatrist / marriage guidance counsellor.

Alan Wiseman as MR FORBRIGHT

An undertaker.

Kim Groom as MS COWPER

Mr Jenkins’ boss from the DSS office. A bit of a dragon.

Samantha Myers as BRENDA DIXON

Norman Bassett’s fiancée who he is due to marry in three days.
