Feelgood by Alistair Beaton is a brilliant comedy that is part farce, part biting satire. It is a hilarious look atthe black art of political spin – a factor thatmany people think is an integral part of modern politics – whichever party (or parties!) are in power!

Feelgood won the prestigious Evening Standard Award for Best Comedy when it was first produced in 2001.

The author

Alistair Beaton is one of Britain’s finest and funniest satirical writers and his credits include “Not The Nine O’Clock News”, “Spitting Image”, “Drop The Dead Donkey”,“Follow My Leader” and “King of Hearts”. Alistair wrote the award-winning television film“A Very Social Secretary”about the David Blunkett affair andthis was followed in 2007 by the Channel 4 film “The Trial of Tony Blair”, winner of the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards for Best Single Drama and nominated for a BAFTA.

International succcess

Thanks to its universal humour, “Feelgood” has had International success, and is actually being performed in Canada in October. But it cost a lot less to see it in Cobham!
